GEM DRYTECH · INDUSTRIAL BELT DRYING
Prepare biomass for the next stage of your process with a belt drying system selected around your feed, moisture target and available heat. Gem Drytech Systems LLP manufactures industrial dryers in India and offers pilot drying trials.

Biomass materials and applications
Discuss wood chips, sawdust, bagasse, husks and other agricultural residues with our engineering team. Drying requirements vary with particle size, bulk density, initial moisture and the intended downstream process, including storage, fuel preparation or pellet production.
Continuous belt drying
Material is distributed across a moving belt and passes through a chamber supplied with heated air. Belt speed, bed depth, airflow and temperature influence moisture removal. The feed preparation and distribution system must suit the material.
Design around the downstream process
Share the moisture specification required by your pellet mill, storage system or other downstream equipment. We assess wet throughput, operating hours and moisture reduction together, so the proposed dryer addresses the duty rather than a nominal feed rate alone.
Heat source and material handling
Discuss steam, thermal oil, hot-air generation or electric heating against your available utilities. Fine particles, dust management, cleaning, fire risk assessment and discharge handling need to be considered as part of the overall project.
Evaluate your sample
A representative sample helps assess drying behaviour, particle handling and operating conditions. Pilot results and project information support equipment selection and a process proposal. Ask about the pilot-trial programme before final sizing.
Your material. Your process.
These are examples of applications, not a complete list. For other materials, see our mesh belt dryer, band dryer and full dryer range, or discuss your requirement with us.
Frequently asked questions
Can a belt dryer prepare biomass for pellet production?
It can be evaluated for moisture reduction before pellet production. The target moisture and material preparation must match the requirements of the downstream pellet process.
Can wood chips and sawdust use the same settings?
Not necessarily. Particle size, bed permeability, bulk density and moisture differ, so feed distribution and operating settings must be assessed for each material.
What should I send for a proposal?
Send the material, particle-size range, wet feed rate, inlet and target moisture, operating hours, available heat source and installation country.
Request a process proposal
In your message, include your material, wet throughput, inlet and target moisture, available heat source, installation country and project timing. Please state whether moisture figures are on a wet or dry basis.
