Municipal and industrial sludge applications
Discuss dewatered sewage sludge, biosolids, wastewater treatment sludge, ETP sludge and paper mill sludge with our engineering team. Each feed requires its own assessment: solids content, consistency, contaminants and intended use influence the equipment and process.
How belt drying works
A controlled layer of material travels through a drying chamber on a moving belt. Heated air removes moisture while belt speed, airflow and temperature are adjusted for the material. Feed preparation and even distribution are important to a consistent drying result.
What we assess before sizing
We review wet-feed rate, operating hours, inlet dry-solids content or moisture, target moisture, particle or cake characteristics, available heat source and site conditions. Sludge handling, odour control, exhaust treatment and cleaning requirements should be defined with the project team.
Heating and process options
Discuss steam, thermal oil, hot-air generation or electric heating against your site utilities. The proposed configuration, construction materials, controls and upstream or downstream equipment depend on the feed assessment and project requirements.
Pilot trials before a final equipment decision
A representative sample can help assess drying behaviour, handling and achievable moisture under trial conditions. Ask about sample requirements and the pilot-trial programme. Trial results and project data inform the proposal; this page does not specify a guaranteed capacity or final moisture.

Frequently asked questions
Can one sludge dryer handle every type of sludge?
No. Sludge properties vary. Share the sludge source, solids content, contaminants and handling characteristics so suitability can be assessed.
Can drying alone guarantee safe disposal or reuse?
No. The intended outlet, local requirements and any treatment or emissions controls must be assessed separately. A moisture-reduction target alone does not establish suitability for reuse.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Send the material source, wet throughput, inlet and target moisture, operating hours, available utilities, installation country and intended use of the dried product.
