On the plant floor

One engineering platform, built for each application

The same continuous belt/paddle drying principle, engineered differently for municipal, mill and industrial materials.

The whole point

We don't sell dryers. We help you turn wet output into something worth more.

Drying isn't about removing water for its own sake — it's about what leaves your gate afterward: fewer truckloads, lower disposal cost, and a material your plant, boiler or buyer can actually use.

Haul it wet — or turn it into value?

Wet biosolids, mill sludge or process residue is heavy, low in value and priced like a disposal cost with no ceiling. Dried to spec, the same material is lighter to haul, stable to store, and — sized to your plant's own use case — a documented path to Class A biosolids, boiler fuel, feed-grade meal, or export-ready product. The dryer is the lever between the two.

WetHeavy hauling · rising disposal cost · low or no value · landfill-dependent
Dried3–6× lighter · lower disposal cost · fuel/feed/product grade · landfill-diverted
Why a Gem dryer for your U.S. plant

Engineered to lower your disposal spend — not just remove water

Every design choice points at one outcome: less to haul, more value recovered, and a plant that's easier to run and easier to permit.

01

Lower hauling & disposal spend

3–6× mass reduction means fewer truckloads and lower per-ton disposal or landfill tipping-fee costs — often the single biggest line item in solids management.

02

A real contribution, not just avoided cost

Whether it's Class A biosolids, boiler fuel, feed-grade meal or export-ready product, dried output has a use and often a value — not just a lower disposal bill.

03

Runs on energy you already have

Where waste heat, biogas or excess steam is available on-site, we configure the dryer to use it — cutting the purchased-energy cost of drying itself.

04

Auditable, consistent output

±1°C zone control and full data logging give your team batch-level moisture and temperature records for regulators, boiler operators or buyers.

05

Continuous operation, less manual handling

24/7 conveyor operation cuts manual handling — reducing odor exposure and labor at the plant.

06

"No buy-and-fly" support

Post-install training, long-term AMC, spares historically under 0.5% of machine value. 88% of our clients come back for their next dryer.

Questions, answered

Industrial & municipal dryer FAQ — USA

Which U.S. industries does Gem Drytech serve? +
We currently serve three main areas in the U.S.: municipal wastewater and biosolids drying, paper and pulp mill sludge drying, and food, feed and general industrial product drying (coconut, grains, spent grain, spices and similar streams). If your material or residual doesn't fit neatly into one of these, we're happy to assess it — we've dried 20+ categories across 15+ countries.
Do you have equipment installed and operating in the USA? +
Yes. NLFP LLC, a U.S. food processor, consolidated three older dryers into one Gem dryer with five times the capacity. We're actively growing our installed base in the U.S. municipal and paper/pulp sectors and can share current references on request.
Can you support U.S. import, installation and after-sales service? +
Yes. We're a Government of India Recognized Export House with English-speaking engineers, remote commissioning support and long-term Annual Maintenance Contracts. Control panels are built to UL 508A and machine wiring to NFPA 79 so equipment is ready for U.S. electrical inspection.
Can you dry a sample of our actual material before we commit? +
Yes — that's our standard process. Send us a representative sample and we'll run it on our pilot/lab unit, then share real moisture-reduction and handling data so you commit based on evidence, not assumptions.
What throughput and construction options are available? +
Standard output ranges 200–2,000 kg/hr per line, with belt widths to 3,250 mm and lengths to 45 m. Construction is matched to your material — corrosion-resistant stainless for biosolids and mill sludge, food-grade builds for food/feed products — and the system is fuel-flexible: gas, steam, electric, thermic fluid or waste heat.
Is it safe for combustible dust from dried organic material? +
Yes. Where the material can generate combustible dust — dried biosolids, fiber, wood residuals or organic product dust — we integrate infrared spark/ember detection with high-speed water-spray suppression, engineered to NFPA combustible-dust guidance, alongside over-temperature protection and automated safety interlocks.
How long does a typical U.S. project take? +
Most clients move from first enquiry to a commissioned, running dryer in 6–10 months: a free lab trial on your own material, a sized quote, 12–16 weeks of manufacturing, then shipping, on-site installation, commissioning and operator training.
Do you support U.S. RFP, bid and engineering specifications? +
Yes. We work with engineers, EPCs and process consultants to align our specifications with your bid documents, and can provide the technical submittals typically required for capital procurement — municipal, industrial or otherwise.
What service and spares support do we get after installation? +
"No buy-and-fly." You get on-site commissioning and operator training, Annual Maintenance Contracts with priority response, remote diagnostics over IoT (often resolving issues before a truck-roll), and guaranteed fast spares — historically under 0.5% of machine value per year. 88% of our clients come back for their next dryer.
